eduroam

eduroam is an international Wi-Fi network used around academic and research institutions, this means as a user you can visit other universities and still have an internet connection, without having to change your log in details. If you change your password, remember you'll have to update your eduroam settings too.

eduroam CAT

Devices can be configured automatically and securely by visiting eduroam CAT

If you're an Android user you're advised to download the eduroam CAT app.

Windows Phone's are not supported by eduroam CAT, please follow the instructions below.

Visit the website and download the installer, when prompted, search for University of South Wales.


If you are already set up for eduroam on your device, please remove the current eduroam network from your device by selecting 'forget the network'.

The Username is your username@southwales.ac.uk NOT your email address, and the password is your university account password. Then click install.

On your Android device, install the eduroam CAT app.


Before opening the app "forget" any existing eduroam network profile.

Open the app and after the list of “Nearby Configs" loads select University of South Wales or use manual search.

If prompted allow eduroamCAT to access.

Authentication Server:  eduroam-auth.glam.ac.uk

CA Certificate CN: QuoVadis Root CA 2

Install

The Username is your username@southwales.ac.uk NOT your email address, and the password is your university account password. Then click install.

You should now be connected to eduroam.

On your iOS device, visit the eduroam CAT website.

Either find or search for University of South Wales and select it. Then click Apple iOS mobile devices.

Allow to download the configuration profile. A message should state that the Profile has been downloaded, and it can now be reviewed and installed in Settings.

Open your iPhones Settings App and go to General, Profile and select the eduroam® downloaded profile.

Confirm and check the Profile details are verified and then tap Install. You may be asked to enter your iPhone passcode in order to install the Profile.

You should now be connected to eduroam.
